VACANCY FOR CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
Applications are invited for the role of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) for Selworthy and Minehead Without Parish Council, Minehead, Somerset upon the retirement of the present Clerk.
The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of administration including financial record keeping and monitoring, advising Councillors on policy and procedures, and attending and preparing minutes of bimonthly evening meetings, on the third Monday of the relevant months, plus other meetings as necessary. This is a part-time, home-based position with a basic six hour week.
Experience of local government administrative practices is not necessary, but would be helpful. However, additional training can be provided through the Somerset Association of Local Councils (SALC).
The salary will be as per the national recommended scale for part-time clerks (NALC SCP 11) i.e. from £11.50 per hour depending on experience.
