Brompton Ralph Parish Council – Clerk & RFO

Brompton Ralph Parish Council seeks to appoint a Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO). Brompton Ralph Parish represents the village with a 7 member Council.

The post is part-time at typically 3 hours per week, and the salary will be typically £1,850 per year gross of tax and paid in 4 quarterly payments.

The successful candidate will be expected to handle the agendas, formal minutes and correspondence of the Council, liaising with other organisations such as District Council Planning Department, Somerset County Council Highways and updating the Parish Council website.   In addition, the Clerk will be responsible for all aspects of financial administration of the Council.  Attendance at the evening meetings of the Council is a requirement of the position. Normal meetings take place on the second Tuesday of alternate months.

The Clerk works from home and must be computer literate.
