CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
RODE PARISH COUNCIL
A vacancy has arisen for the post of Clerk and Responsible Financial Office to Rode Parish Council. This interesting and varied part-time post supports an active and community-focused Parish Council, working from home, 5 hours per week on average, plus attendance at 12 monthly meetings (first Tuesday of the month).
The Parish Clerk is responsible for organising all meetings of the Council, publishing agendas and minutes, dealing with correspondence, managing the council website, liaising with other organisations and overseeing certain projects. In addition, as RFO, the Clerk will be responsible for all aspects of financial administration of the Council.
The Clerk generally works from home and must be computer literate. A laptop and printer are provided. The successful applicant should ideally have relevant experience or be prepared to undertake the necessary training.
Salary: NALC/NJC rate SCP 20 (10.57/hr) to SCP 25 (12.39/hr) plus an allowance for homeworking, expenses and a mileage allowance.
