P/T ADMIN ASSISTANT (initial one year contract)
Shepton Mallet Town Council is seeking to appoint an Amin Assistant to help out in its busy office. The appointment will initially be for one year, but this could be extended. There will be ample opportunity to learn new skills and to provide to the successful applicant a gateway to a career in local government. Full training will be provided.
The person appointed will have good communication skills and will be computer literate. They should be willing to be adaptable when undertaking the day to day challenges that are regularly presented in a public facing environment.
The role is for between 15 and 21 hours per week, subject to negotiation, over Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. The salary will be set at the Local Government scale of 15-17.
