The successful applicant will be required to attend a monthly evening Parish Council meeting. The meetings are usually on the 3rd Monday of each month except for August and December when meetings are not usually held. They will prepare, in consultation with appropriate members, agendas and minutes for meetings of the Council, to ensure all are prepared for approval
They will also be responsible for keeping the accounts for the Council, paying invoices, provide a monthly internal Summary of Account and produce accounts and records for the external annual auditor, reclaiming VAT and annual budgeting for the Precept.

They will also be responsible for ensuring that lawful instructions of the Council in connection with its function as a local authority are carried out and to act as the main point of contact on Council business.
To work with the Council’s elected members, in accordance with the Council’s constitution
To advise the Council on and assist in the development of policies and implementation plans. Utilise a range of data sources e.g. local and national political trends, and present appropriately to enable decision making by elected members
To ensure the effective implementation of Council’ lawful decisions, policies and projects
To attend relevant training, conferences and forums associated with the role or the development of Council service.
Salary to be based on experience in line with NALC’s pay scale.
Hours of work will be 15 hours a week and will be home based with extra hours if and when needed.
Start date will be 1st April 2022.
