Castle Cary TC – Town Clerk

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a Town Clerk to Castle Cary Town Council. We are looking for someone who has experience in local government preferably as a Parish or Town Clerk and the enthusiasm to take our progressive Council forward into new opportunities in the Local Government sector re-organisation.
The post is LC2 scale point 18-28(£24313-£31371 pro rata) dependent on experience with a minimum working week 25hrs to include one evening meeting most weeks.
The post will be supported by a new part-time Finance Clerk (and RFO) and a Deputy Clerk already in post.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon Wednesday 9th September and interviews will be held on Monday 14th September
