Bradford on Tone Parish Council – Parish Clerk & RFO

Bradford on Tone Parish Council is looking for a new Parish Clerk / Responsible Financial Officer for an average of 6 hours per week, paid at the LC1 (7-12) national salary scales pro rata, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will be: interested in the local community, enjoy meeting people, and have a desire to help the community; be good at working as part of a small close team; have a good knowledge of Microsoft systems; be happy with flexible home-based working which will include approximately one evening every other month.

The role is interesting and varied involving:

  • Attending and administering Parish Council meetings held every other month on a Tuesday evening and occasional ad hoc planning meetings.
  • Maintaining the Parish Council website via a third party.
  • Keeping accounts and complying with audit requirements and protocols.
  • Dealing with correspondence and phone enquiries from parishioners, councillors and third parties.
