Berrow Parish Council – Clerk & RFO

Applications are invited for the role of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) for Berrow Parish Council, upon the retirement of the present Clerk.
The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of administration including financial record keeping and monitoring, advising Councillors on policy and procedures, and attending and preparing minutes of monthly evening meetings, on the second Tuesday of the relevant months, plus other meetings as necessary. This is a part-time, position with a basic twenty hour week.
Experience of local government administrative practices is not necessary, but would be helpful. However, additional training can be provided through the Somerset Association of Local Councils (SALC).
The salary will be as per the national recommended scale for part-time clerks (NALC SCP 13) i.e. from £11.76 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
