Ash Parish Council – Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer

Ash Parish Council is seeking an organised, forward thinking and adaptable individual to work as Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer. The Clerk will be responsible for all aspects of finance and administration of the Parish Council and will be required to provide statutory advice and implement decisions across the complete range of Council’s activities.

The position is Part-time 6 hours per week and office based. The salary will be paid monthly and be commensurate with qualifications and experience with a CiLCA qualified Clerk receiving £12.40 per hour and enrolment in the NEST Pension Scheme.
Parish Council meetings fall on the first Monday of each month from 7.30pm and usually finish between 9.30 to 10.00pm.
The post is subject to a six-month probationary period and the successful applicant will be expected to hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or be willing to undertake the necessary training to obtain the qualification as soon as possible. Council will provide necessary training as required.
